In the evening hours of a late spring day, tragedy struck in a Baltimore neighborhood. On April 29, 2023, in the 3800 block of Harlem Avenue, the life of 43-year-old Samuel Green was cut short by gunfire. The Black male was found by Southwest District patrol officers who had been called to the scene for a report of a shooting at approximately 8:20 p.m.
Upon their arrival, officers discovered Mr. Green suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
He was not the only victim of the violent encounter; another man, aged 44, was also found at the scene with gunshot wounds. While medical personnel transported the second victim to a local hospital for treatment, Samuel Green was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Baltimore Police Department's Homicide detectives are actively investigating the fatal shooting. As of the initial reports, authorities had not publicly identified any suspects or made any arrests in connection with the murder of Samuel Green. The investigation remains ongoing, and detectives are urging anyone with information to come forward to assist in bringing those responsible to justice.
