Salaheldin Ahmed Hamid, a 29-year-old Sudanese graduate student at UC Davis, tragically lost his life on April 26, 1977, in Sacramento, California. Hamid, along with his fellow Sudanese graduate student, Ali Ahmed Ibrahim, who had just completed his PhD, were both shot to death by an Iraqi student named Khalid Al-Amin.
