John Macaulay, a 35-year-old police sergeant with the San Francisco Police Department, tragically lost his life on July 6, 1982. On that fateful day, Sgt. Macaulay was off-duty and on his way home when he noticed a vehicle that matched the description of one involved in an armed robbery earlier that day.
