On August 20, 1989, Jose Menendez, aged 45, was brutally murdered alongside his wife, Kitty Menendez, in their Beverly Hills home. The couple was watching television in the den when their sons, Lyle and Erik Menendez, entered the room armed with shotguns. Jose was shot in the back of the head, killing him instantly, while Kitty attempted to flee but was ultimately shot multiple times, including a fatal shot to her face.
