Benjamin "Bugsy" Siegel, a notorious mobster, met a violent end on June 20, 1947, at the age of 41. Siegel was in the living room of his girlfriend Virginia Hill's Beverly Hills home when an unknown assailant fired multiple shots through the front window. Siegel was struck by several bullets, including two fatal shots to the head, and died instantly.
