Keith Stephen Konopasek, a 32-year-old police officer with the Oakland Police Department, tragically lost his life on July 8, 1995, while performing his duties. Officer Konopasek had been with the department for only six months when he was fatally shot during a traffic stop on the 1700 block of 82nd Avenue in Oakland, California.
