Dexter E. Shannon, aged 58, tragically lost his life on January 30, 2006, in Goleta, California. Dexter, a Vietnam War veteran and a dedicated employee of the U.S. Postal Service, was among the victims of a horrific mass shooting at the Santa Barbara Processing and Distribution Center in Goleta. The perpetrator, Jennifer San Marco, a former postal worker, carried out the attack, which resulted in the deaths of six individuals, including Dexter, before she took her own life.
