Detective Kent Haws, a 38-year-old officer with the Tulare County Sheriff's Office, tragically lost his life on December 17, 2007. On that fateful day, Detective Haws was investigating suspicious activity near Avenue 344 and Road 156 in Tulare, California. While patrolling the area, he noticed a car parked next to an orange grove and decided to investigate.
