Jose Ignacio Sanchez, a 19-year-old Latino, was tragically shot and killed on April 1, 2010, in the Boyle Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. According to the Los Angeles County coroner's records, Sanchez was dropped off at his girlfriend's house around 8 p.m. when he was confronted by a possible rival gang member.
