Donald Cortez "Don" Cornelius, the iconic creator and host of the television show "Soul Train," passed away on February 1, 2012, at the age of 75 in his Sherman Oaks, Los Angeles home. Cornelius's death was ruled a suicide, as he died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
