Jesus Ulises Granados, a 19-year-old resident of San Jose, was tragically shot and killed on January 14, 2014, in the parking lot of the Executive Inn located at 95 Dempsey Road in Milpitas, California. The incident occurred around 10:30 p.m. during a party at the motel. Granados was shot in the face following a dispute that escalated into violence.
The scene was chaotic, with partygoers screaming and crying as police arrived.
After an intense three-month investigation, Milpitas police identified and arrested two suspects in connection with Granados' murder. Loyce Edward Weaver, 26, of San Jose, was charged with murder and assault with a deadly weapon. Robert Edward Ebertowski, 24, also of San Jose, was charged as an accessory to the crime. Both suspects were already in custody for unrelated criminal matters when they were identified and subsequently charged for their involvement in the homicide.
The investigation revealed that the shooting stemmed from a verbal altercation that took place in the motel's parking lot. The exact details of the argument and the relationship between the suspects and the victim remain unclear. However, the police were able to piece together the events leading up to the shooting through witness statements and other evidence collected at the scene.
