Sambo Chhoy, a 33-year-old Cambodian man, was tragically shot and killed on January 20, 2014, in Long Beach, California. The incident occurred around 9:55 p.m. in the 1000 block of East New York Street. When Long Beach police officers responded to reports of gunfire, they found Chhoy lying in the street with a gunshot wound to his chest.
