Jesse Aaron Serrano, a 19-year-old Latino, was tragically shot and killed on April 20, 2014, in the Florence neighborhood of Los Angeles. According to the Los Angeles County coroner’s records, the incident occurred around 2:30 p.m. while Serrano was standing near a street vendor on the 6600 block of South Broadway Avenue.
