Joseph Richard Flores, an 18-year-old Latino, was tragically shot and killed on May 11, 2014, near Ceylon Avenue and Claymore Street in Pico Rivera, California. According to the Los Angeles County coroner’s records, deputies responded to a report of a gunshot victim around 12:35 a.m. and found Flores wounded in the street near a gutter. The nature of the wounds suggested that the shooter likely fired at close range. Despite the immediate response, Flores succumbed to his injuries at the scene. ...
