Candice L. Barcenas, a 26-year-old woman from Compton, California, tragically lost her life on May 20, 2014. The incident occurred when Candice was inside a home on North Spring Avenue. On the evening of May 19, a 20-year-old man was riding his bike in the area when a gunman began shooting at him. Candice, hearing the gunfire, walked up to a screen door to see what was happening and was struck by a stray bullet. A 32-year-old man standing in the carport area was also hit by gunfire but survived. ...
