Christopher Ross Michaels-Martinez, a 20-year-old sophomore at the University of California, Santa Barbara, tragically lost his life on May 23, 2014, during a violent rampage in Isla Vista, California. Michaels-Martinez was one of six victims killed by Elliot Rodger, a 22-year-old who embarked on a killing spree driven by a desire for "retribution" against women and others he felt had wronged him.
