On November 24, 2014, Michael Marquez, a 22-year-old resident of San Francisco, was fatally shot during a robbery in the Duboce Triangle neighborhood. Around 12:30 a.m., Marquez and two friends were walking southbound on Noe Street when they were approached by a group of four young men. The suspects, described as African-American males between 16 and 24 years old, accosted them at gunpoint, demanding their valuables.
