Samuel Santoyo-Mendoza, a 29-year-old Latino, was tragically shot and killed on June 22, 2014, in East Los Angeles. The incident occurred around 8 p.m. in the dining room of a restaurant located in the 6000 block of Whittier Boulevard. According to reports, Santoyo-Mendoza got into an argument with another man while in the restaurant.
