Jacorey Calhoun, a 23-year-old resident of Oakland, California, tragically lost his life on August 3, 2014, in a fatal encounter with law enforcement. The incident occurred in East Oakland when Alameda County sheriff's deputy Derek Thoms shot Calhoun.
