Hector Uribe, a 22-year-old resident of Oakland, California, tragically lost his life on August 31, 2014. The incident occurred at the Coliseum Public Market in East Oakland, where Uribe was shot and killed by private security guards. According to reports, the security guards had detained Uribe in the jewelry section of the market for an unspecified crime and had recovered two firearms.
