Aaron Jonathan Chavez, a 23-year-old resident of Santa Ana, California, tragically lost his life on August 12, 2014. The incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. near the intersection of Main and West 12th streets. Chavez was sitting in the front passenger seat of a red four-door Chevy when a suspect approached the vehicle on foot and fired at least ten rounds into the car.
