Alex Breggs, an 18-year-old from Oakland, California, was tragically killed on September 20, 2014. The incident occurred in the 8700 block of Hillside Street in East Oakland. Breggs was shot multiple times while sitting in a car, and he succumbed to his injuries later at a hospital. The shooting was the result of a long-standing personal dispute between Breggs and James Bowen, the man convicted of his murder. Bowen fired 13 shots at Breggs, striking him nine times.
