Lamont Charles Johnson Jr., aged 27, was tragically shot and killed on April 2, 2020, in downtown Oakland, California. The incident occurred in broad daylight near City Hall, a heavily trafficked area. Johnson was walking around the 200 block of Frank H. Ogawa Plaza when his assailant approached him and fired multiple shots before fleeing the scene on foot.
