In the midst of a year marked by a tragic surge in violence in Baltimore, 39-year-old Anton Carter, a Black male, became another victim of the city's unrelenting gun violence on the evening of September 29, 2017. The fatal incident occurred around 8:32 p.m. on the 1100 block of Myrtle Avenue, where Carter was shot.
