Jose De Jesus Cabral, a 22-year-old resident of Long Beach, California, tragically lost his life on January 15, 2015, after being shot on January 13, 2015. The incident occurred around 9 p.m. in the 2300 block of East 10th Street. According to reports, Cabral was among a group of people gathered in a front yard when an unidentified individual approached and opened fire.
Cabral sustained critical injuries and was immediately transported to a local hospital, where he remained in critical condition until he succumbed to his injuries two days later.
The Long Beach Police Department launched an investigation into the shooting, but the motive behind the attack remained unclear. Despite extensive efforts by the authorities, no suspects were apprehended, and the case remained unsolved. Homicide detectives, including Hugo Cortes and Oscar Valenzuela, were assigned to the case and urged anyone with information to come forward.
