Manuel Alvarez Zuniga, a 34-year-old security guard, tragically lost his life on February 14, 2015, in San Jose, California. Zuniga was working as a security guard at the Bboss nightclub when he intervened in a theft at the nearby Liquor 4 Less store. The incident began when a man stole a box of sweetened cigarillos worth about $30 and ran towards a getaway car.
