Charles (CJ) Ramondo Stewart, a 26-year-old resident of Oakland, California, tragically lost his life on February 15, 2015. The incident occurred in the 2200 block of 84th Avenue near Bancroft Avenue shortly before 10 p.m. on that fateful night.

The investigation led to the arrest of Michael Enoch, a 34-year-old Oakland man with a history of criminal activity. Enoch was apprehended on April 15, 2015, for violating his parole related to previous convictions for carjacking and second-degree robbery. He was subsequently charged with the murder of Charles Stewart on May 22, 2015. Enoch's criminal record included multiple felony convictions, and he was known to have been involved in gang-related activities. The prosecution alleged that the fatal shooting was a result of a dispute over drug-selling territory, with Enoch being identified as the shooter by multiple witnesses.
In a court hearing, Enoch pleaded no contest to the lesser charge of voluntary manslaughter, along with an enhancement clause for using a firearm.
