On the night of April 8, 2015, Denzel Heckard, a 21-year-old resident of Sacramento, California, was tragically shot and killed outside the A-1 Market & Liquor Store located on Sunnyslope Drive. The incident occurred around 10 p.m. when gunfire erupted in the parking lot, leaving Heckard dead and two others injured.
