Carrie Jean Melvin, a 30-year-old woman, was tragically killed on July 5, 2015, in Hollywood, Los Angeles. On that fateful night, Carrie and her boyfriend were walking near North McCadden Place and Sunset Boulevard when a man approached them from behind and shot Carrie with a shotgun.
