Abril Onofre, a 19-year-old Latina, tragically lost her life on July 5, 2018, in Los Angeles, California. The incident occurred during a Fourth of July celebration in the Westlake district, specifically in the 1600 block of West 2nd Street. Onofre was among a group of people gathered outside a home when multiple assailants approached and began shooting indiscriminately into the crowd.
