Douglas faced additional charges of attempted murder and possession of a firearm by a felon, while Hull was also charged with shooting at an occupied motor vehicle and possession of a firearm by a felon. Richards faced charges of murder and attempted murder. All three men pleaded not guilty to the charges. The prosecution alleged that the crimes were committed for the benefit of, and in association with, a street gang.
