Delores Yvon Baez Meraz, aged 57, tragically lost her life on July 24, 2016, near Desert Center, California. She was found inside a vehicle on the shoulder of westbound Interstate 10, about two miles west of Eagle Mountain Road. Baez Meraz was airlifted to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, where she was pronounced dead. The circumstances surrounding her death were initially unclear, but it was later determined that she had been fatally shot.
