Mariana Teresa Resendiz, a 20-year-old college student from Los Angeles, was tragically killed on October 24, 2016. The incident occurred around 10:30 p.m. in the 4100 block of South Avalon Boulevard in Historic South-Central Los Angeles. According to the Los Angeles County coroner’s records, Resendiz was standing in the area when an unknown assailant approached and shot her.
