Jonathan Becerra, a 23-year-old resident of Cathedral City, California, tragically lost his life on November 20, 2016. The incident occurred around 10:20 p.m. near the intersection of Ortega Road and Rancho Vista Drive. Cathedral City police responded to reports of a shooting and found Becerra lying unconscious on the side of the road with a gunshot wound. Despite the efforts of medics from the Cathedral City Fire Department, Becerra was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:31 p.m.
