Hugo Sanchez, aged 31, tragically lost his life on January 5, 2017, in San Jose, California. The incident occurred at La Mejor Taqueria on Story Road, where Sanchez and another victim, Daniel Maldonado, were shot during an altercation. The shooting took place around 7:44 PM, and both Sanchez and Maldonado were pronounced dead at the scene. A third individual was also injured but survived the attack.
