Antoine Dewayne Sutphen Jr., a 24-year-old resident of Pasadena, California, tragically lost his life on January 7, 2017. The incident occurred just before midnight on January 6, when a shooting was reported in the 100 block of West Claremont Street. Sutphen was found with multiple gunshot wounds on Pepper Street, one block away from the initial shooting location. Despite efforts to save him, he was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after midnight.
The shooting also resulted in injuries to a woman, who was critically wounded and transported to a hospital for treatment. Additionally, a car crash at the intersection of California Boulevard and St. John Avenue revealed two more gunshot victims, one of whom, Ormani Dajan Duncan, was also pronounced dead at the scene.

Lee was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. His co-defendants, Isiah Daniels, Pernell Barnes, and Charod Robinson, were also convicted and faced sentencing. A fifth defendant, Andrew Vasquez, was acquitted of all charges.
