On September 9, 2023, at approximately 1:14 p.m., Pasadena Police Department officers responded to reports of a shooting at an apartment complex in the 1100 block of Summit Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered 35-year-old Pasadena resident Hakim Wright inside an apartment, suffering from a fatal gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
