Oscar Octavio Nungaray, a 44-year-old Latino, was fatally shot on June 12, 2017, in Downey, California. The incident occurred in the 8800 block of Rosecrans Avenue, where Downey police responded to a call about shots fired around 8:15 p.m. Upon arrival, officers found Nungaray and another victim, Edgar Ernesto Luna, 38, inside a car audio store with gunshot wounds. Both men were pronounced dead at the scene at 8:20 p.m. according to the Los Angeles County coroner’s records.
