On a late Thursday evening in New Orleans, specifically April 29, 2010, a Black or African American man named Derrick Charles Marshall, 34, was found dead. The incident occurred around 11 p.m. in the 2100 block of Urquhart Street, near Elysian Fields Avenue. Marshall had been fatally shot, and his death is considered an unsolved homicide.
