Jairo Rolando Recinos-Almanza, a 21-year-old Latino, tragically lost his life on July 29, 2017, in Boyle Heights, Los Angeles. According to the Los Angeles County coroner's records, Recinos-Almanza was driving a beige pickup truck east on Bailey Street when an unknown assailant, driving in the opposite direction, opened fire on him.
