Jesus Ayala-Melchor, a 26-year-old resident of San Jose, California, tragically lost his life on September 29, 2017. He was fatally shot near a strip mall in East San Jose. The incident occurred in the 100 block of South Jackson Avenue, close to the terminus of East Capitol Expressway. The shooting was reported to the police around 6:25 p.m. that evening.
