Hardeep Singh, a 32-year-old resident of Bakersfield, California, was tragically shot and killed on November 24, 2017. The incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. at the Cambridge Village Apartments located on North Laurelglen Boulevard. Singh was found on the ground outside the apartment complex, suffering from at least one gunshot wound, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Kern County Coroner's Office later confirmed his identity and stated that a postmortem examination would determine the exact cause and manner of death.
The investigation into Singh's death revealed that it was a targeted shooting. In the months following the incident, Bakersfield police arrested several individuals in connection with the murder. Tymere Ross, 24, and Kenton McDaniel, 23, were both charged with second-degree murder and gang-related offenses. Both men were sentenced to 15 years to life in prison for their roles in Singh's death.
