In the late summer of 2010 in New Orleans, Louisiana, the life of Alvin Joseph Crosby, Jr., a 25-year-old Black male, was tragically cut short. On Sunday, August 15, 2010, Crosby was killed, leaving behind a devastated family, including his two young children. A former football player for the Carver Rams, he was remembered as a beloved son, brother, and father who attended George W. Carver and John F. Kennedy Senior High Schools and was employed by SDT Waste and Debris.
