Gilberto Martin Jr., a 53-year-old resident of San Francisco, was tragically found dead on February 13, 2018, in the parking lot of Gray Whale Cove State Beach in Half Moon Bay, California. His body was discovered with significant injuries to his face and upper body, indicating a violent attack. The San Mateo County Sheriff's Office, along with California State Parks peace officers, launched an investigation into his death, which was quickly classified as a homicide.
