Maynor Noe Funes Nieto, a 17-year-old from Oakland, CA, tragically lost his life on April 2, 2018. The incident occurred in the 1100 block of East 23rd Street around 6:30 p.m. Maynor and his older brother were walking on the sidewalk when they were approached by a gunman who opened fire, resulting in Maynor's death at the scene.
