In the heart of New Orleans, the life of Steven "Fat" Powell, a 28-year-old Black / African American male, was unexpectedly cut short on January 17, 2011. Born on July 5, 1982, he was a son to Pearl and Oscar Washington and a brother to Shelita, Eric, and Erroll Powell, and Lerrin Rhea. His family also included his grandparents, Margie Powell and Samuel Tatum.
