Lorenzo Gomez Acosta, a 37-year-old man from Salinas, California, was tragically killed on June 2, 2018. Acosta was sitting in his car on Klamath Drive, near Cascade Way, talking on the phone with his wife in Mexico when he was approached by an unknown assailant. A brief struggle ensued, and Acosta was shot multiple times. Despite efforts to save him, he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
