On September 27, 2021, Kazia Blunt, an 18-year-old resident of Salinas, California, tragically lost his life in a shooting incident. The Salinas Police Department responded to reports of a shooting near the intersection of West Lake Street and Martella Street at approximately 12:45 p.m. Upon arrival, officers found Blunt suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite the efforts of first responders to administer life-saving measures, Blunt was pronounced dead at the scene.
