On January 12, 2017, Jose Luis Flores-Vargas, aged 27, was tragically killed in a shooting incident on Sunrise Street in Salinas, California. The incident occurred around 9:00 PM when Salinas Police Officers, who were in the vicinity of Garner Avenue and North Sanborn Road, heard multiple gunshots.
