Steve Bueno, a 17-year-old student from North Salinas High School, tragically lost his life on October 27, 2011. The incident occurred while Steve and his friend, Xavier Zepeda, were in a garage on the 1700 block of Klamath Drive in Salinas, California. The two friends were giving each other haircuts when an unknown gunman entered the garage and opened fire. Steve was shot in the head and succumbed to his injuries the following day, while Xavier was shot in the leg but survived.
